Zoom virtual appointments
Connect your Zoom account on the Growth plan, enable virtual appointment products and add meeting links to confirmed bookings, with privacy and sync controls.

Connect Zoom
- Open Settings > Connected apps > Zoom on the Growth plan and select Connect Zoom. Sign in to the Zoom account that will host your appointments and approve the requested meeting permissions.
- The Zoom connection is user-managed. If access is revoked or the connection needs attention, reconnect the same Zoom account from Settings.
Enable a virtual appointment product
- Configure the product as a timed appointment, then enable Create a Zoom meeting for this virtual appointment in its product settings.
- Only confirmed bookings for enabled timed appointment products receive a Zoom meeting. Physical rentals and in-person appointments do not create Zoom meetings.
- Rentshelf creates a scheduled meeting, updates it if the appointment time changes, and removes it after cancellation. The booking remains valid if Zoom is temporarily unavailable; synchronization retries in the background.
Join links and privacy
- The customer join link appears in the confirmed booking and customer portal after the meeting is created. Booking confirmation and appointment reminders include the link when available.
- Rentshelf sends Zoom the meeting time, duration, product title, and booking reference. It does not send the customer's name or email to Zoom for meeting creation.
- Zoom meetings do not block rental availability or change booking capacity. Manage host conflicts, meeting settings, and passcodes in your Zoom account.
Sync, disconnect, and remove
- Use Sync now in Zoom settings to request an immediate refresh and check the connection status there if a link has not appeared.
- Disconnect Zoom from Rentshelf settings to remove Rentshelf-managed meetings and the stored authorization. If a meeting cannot be removed, the connection remains so you can retry.
- You can also revoke Rentshelf from your Zoom account. Revocation stops new meetings and clears stored authorization and join links in Rentshelf. Uninstalling Rentshelf clears the Zoom connection.
